Combat: in a world of money and blood, you're just a pawn

Luck deals the cards, but you make the call:

• Craft your own build: token deck, cocktails, artifacts, stats
• Control the board: shuffle pieces, stack them, and destroy enemy entities!
• Move your pawn: skip your turn, or collect what you need to answer your opponent's next action.

The house cheats

And it will interfere directly with your board:

• Summoned entities with a variety of behaviors (coin thieves, token movers)
• Tile decay (poison, glue)
• Harmful effects on your pawn

When the night takes a turn for the worse, order a drink from the waitress… or go all in: the Fortuna power triggers all your tokens at once!

Map: life is a game… of the goose!

Between fights, roll the die across a different map every run. Rewards, traps, fights, games, special events: every tile counts, all the way to the casino director.

Your die is more than a simple roll: aim, control the strength of your throw, and make it bounce off bumpers, burst open briefcases, and hit switches.

With intersections and teleporters, choose your route based on your condition… and your wallet.

Roguelite: put another coin in the machine

Tonight, the Gambler will fall. No matter: the Maskmaker will always hand you a coin to play again, because the house never loses a customer.

• Permanent upgrades: starting deck, customization, and quality-of-life improvements
• New content to unlock: characters, tokens, drinks, artifacts
• Story fragments to piece together

Eventually, Val Fortuna will feature 3 characters, each with their own mechanic and story.
